Seiko Instruments Inc. (Abbreviation: SII; President, CEO, COO & CFO: Yukihiko Chayama; Head Office: 1-8 Nakase, Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; Tel: 043-211-1111) will consecutively release starting at the end of April five “SILUCA Red Cards” (*1), content cards compatible with SII electronic IC dictionaries. The SILUCA cards are content cards that allow the electronic dictionary user to add preferred content to his or her dictionary in accordance with frequency of use and purpose.
The SILUCA red cards to be released include French, German, Spanish and Chinese language dictionaries and conversation collections. The SILUCA red cards realize the same operability as the built-in dictionaries, offering a search speed that allows the user to proceed with learning without stress. The SILUCA red cards to be released include proper pronunciation by a native speaker, a necessity for the foreign language learner, allowing the user to listen to the audio and readily enhance his or her listening skills.
SII will continue to enhance its lineup of electronic dictionaries with a built-in SILUCA card slot along with its SILUCA cards, providing electronic dictionaries that are more in line with user needs.
*1. “SILUCA” is a nickname for the SII Original Contents Card. SILUCA red cards are SII electronic dictionary compatible. The currently available electronic dictionaries with a built-in SILUCA card slot are SR-V7130, SR-E9000 and SR-V4700.
