◆What is Crystal Resonator?
Crystal resonator is a passive component that generates stable frequency.
Below is figure 1 for crystal resonator’s structure.
◆How can we activate crystal resonators?
We need the suitable oscillation circuit for the crystal resonators to generate stable frequency.
(Please refer to Figure 2 below for example of oscillation circuit.)
Oscillation circuits have the functions as below.
・It generates stable frequency by suitable amplifier circuit with resistance Rf.
・It enables crystal resonators to obtain the desirable frequency accuracy by matching between the load capacitances of the oscillation circuit and the crystal resonators.
We have matching test service to check the matching between your oscillator circuit and the crystal resonator and suggest the alternative circuit constant when necessary.
