The S-83M355/83M356 Series is a CMOS step-up switching regulator which consists of a reference voltage source, an oscillation circuit, an error amplifier, a phase compensation circuit, a PWM control circuit (S-83M355 Series) and a PWM / PFM switching control circuit (S-83M356 Series). With a built-in low on-state resistance power MOS FET, this product is ideally suited for applications requiring high efficiency and a high output current with few external components. The S-83M355 Series employs a PWM control circuit whose duty ratio can be varied linearly, and features a PWM / PFM switching control circuit that optimizes efficiency during light loads.
