Paris, September 24th, 2008- Seiko I Infotech Inc. (SIIT) announced today that it will officially launch a new 104-inch solvent inkjet printer, the “ColorPainter H-104S” at the Viscom Europe tradeshow in Paris, France, 24-26 September 2008.
The “ColorPainter H-104S” uses new super wide piezo inkjet heads and achieves class-fastest printing speed of 50 sqm/h with 8 colors while maintaining extremely high image quality and color density. It also doubles the printing speed to 100 sqm/h for maximum productivity if configured for 4 color printing. This tremendous speed provides approximately 3-4 times more productivity than competing models in the same price/width class.
The new inkjet heads offer true 720 dpi resolution and bigger droplet sizes by firing multiple drops to maximize ink density levels-even at high print speeds. The printer offers a new “mild solvent” ink set that has excellent color gamut and adhesion. The printer comes with 8 heads and can be configured two different ways: Eight colors with one head per color (Y, M, C, K, Lc, Lm, Grey and Light Grey ink colors) for maximum image quality, or Four colors with 2 heads per color (Y, M, C, K ink colors) for maximum productivity.
The ColorPainter H-104S incorporates new features such as “Smart Pass Technology” to optimize pass-to-pass dot placement for smooth spot colors and gradients and “Automatic head height adjustment” to ensure the best image quality. Because of higher productivity, the ink capacity per head is 1.5 liters and the printer accommodates up to 120 kg media. These features, combined with high speed and high ink density, give the ColorPainter H-104S the functionality to meet the requirements for professional quality outdoor graphics and high volume users.
The ColorPainter H-104s also offers printing capability on mesh by installing an optional mesh media print kit. The mesh media print kit comes with the groove to catch inks going through mesh, no lining paper for mesh is required.
The ColorPainter H-104S will be sold through SIIT channel partners worldwide and will be scheduled to start shipping in early November 2008. The suggested list price for the ColorPainter H-104S will be 55,000 euros. The smaller model, ColorPainter H-74S, 74-inch width, will be coming in the first quarter, 2009.
