CHIBA Japan, July 3, 2012 – Seiko I Infotech Inc. (SIIT) announced today that it will launch two new neon inks for its ColorPainter W series printers. The new neon inks are the world’s first* solvent-based fluorescent inks for wide format inkjet printers. These new inks will expand the application of the ColorPainter W series into night graphics, or blacklight graphics in night clubs, casinos, laser tag facilities, bowling alleys, arcades, professional events, retail POP and amusement parks.
The neon inks are available in two colors, Neon Yellow and Neon Pink, which are used in combination with the ColorPainter GX ink set. Neon inks can be printed not only as “Spot colors”, but also as part of traditional CMYK “Process color”. Mixing those two colors with other colors also gives fluorescent effect to the other colors, creating a wide range of interesting and unique output possibilities.
The printed image has eye catching vividness under the normal lighting and it glows under black lighting, so they are suitable for various eye catching applications.
The neon inks will be supplied in 500ml cartridges, and are only compatible with the ColorPainter W series printer when configured with 6 print heads.
The Neon Yellow and the Neon Pink fluorescent inks will be sold through SIIT channel partners worldwide, and are scheduled to start shipping from in late summer of 2012.
